29th September - More Trident action

0645 March - Cambridge no sign in Histon by 0830......mystery!!

18292 - AE51VFW 1140 Cambridge - Wisbech
18057 - AE53TZJ 1240 Cambridge - Wisbech
16592 - S592BCE 1640 Cambridge - Wisbech

As you can see above, both 18292 and 057 were earning their keep on the X9, 292 finished its day on the 1740 to Chatteris, which in theroy then runs empty to Ely outstation, so maybe on X9 route or the 9/12 series of routes.

Im unsure what 18057s diagram is, the main trend now is to hold the bus over at Wisbech for an hour so the driver can have a break, which would have ment that it worked back on the 1605, however the bus from the 1340 (ex Cambridge) returns almost immideatly now, (as proved by me the day before with 16590) so i can assume it went empty to Long Sutton?

Il try and peice together theyre theroetical workings once iv had some sleep, all thats left to say now is thanks to Jamie A for the sightings for the 29th.

28th September

It was only a matter of time before this beast showed itself on the X9... 18292 - AE51VFW on the 1440 Cambridge - Wisbech running 2mins late over Station Road LC in March.

As the photo showed, 18292 made its first apperence on the X9, probaly worked something earlier in the day, but i caught it on the 1440 ex Cambridge, sadly with no LED, but this one is known for having a tempermental blind to programe. 18292 started off with Cavalier, working out of Huntingdon on 553\4\5s between Huntingdon and Cambridge before they got taken over by Stagecoach, and was soon repainted and later re-allocated to Cambridge.

Other sightings include 20849 - P849GND on the 0645 March - Cambridge X7, but later in the day this diagram had turned into 16590 - S590BCE.

16592 - S592BCE is the 1755 Cambridge - March X7. Thanks to Jamie A for the X7 obs.

25th and 26th September

these photos are from Saturday 26th Sep and all copyright to Rob Brooks.

16590 - S590BCE in Elm on the 1140 from Cambridge

18057 - AE53TZJ having a rest at Wisbech Horsefair after arriving about half hour previously on the 0940 from Cambridge.

18057 departs Wisbech Horsefair on the 1805 to Long Sutton. Previously, if a Trident\President has worked the X9, it gets swapped at Chatteris with the vehicle from the 1715 from Wisbech. This didnt happen today, which adds more weight to the rumor that B10M PS vehicles are now banned from the whole X9 route.

A Good day on Saturday, 18057 made another apperence, but more unusualy i was able to see it, and even more unusualy it worked its WHOLE diagram!

First off, is Friday 25th Sightings:
Only thing to mention today is I travelled on the 1632 from March Railway
Station - Wisbech, not intentionaly, I got to the stop at 1715 and it was town
side of March East gates running 42 late due to the proceeding bus running out
of fuel on its way to Chatteris!!!! The bus was 16212 - R562DRP.

20848 - P848GND was on the 1715 Wisbech - Ely, which was 10late due to heavy
traffic getting out of Wisbech. It might turn back at Chatteris, but since its
only going to Ely then I'd imagine not.

26/9
20846 - P846GND 1030 Peterborough - Wisbech a1130 then went on to 39s
16591 - S591BCE 1105 Wisbech - Cambridge
18057 - AE53TZJ 1305 Wisbech - Cambridge & 1540 Cambridge - Wisbech then 1805 to
Long Sutton.
16218 - R568DRP 1405 Wisbech - Cambridge
16590 - S590BCE 1505 Wisbech - Cambridge

24 September - Poorly 589

16589 - S589BCE 0740 Cambridge - Wisbech with the Ginger Ninja onboard, saying
it was shuddering a lot, and smoking a lot more than an Xreg. Which is an
achivement in itself.

16214 - R564DRP then took over from 589 as it expired in Ely

16218 -R568DRP 0605 Wisbech - Cambridge

16217 - R567DRP 0805 Wisbech - Cambridge

22 & 23rd September - More Trident Antics

17079 keeps on working X9s these past few days, hopefully itl be out on Saturday, as thats my next freeday, and will probaly be the next blog update.

16214 - R564DRP 0805 Wisbech - Cambridge
16591 - S590BCE 0740 Cambridge - Wisbech

23/9
17079 - T679KPU 0940 Cambridge - Wisbech, running 10 late from Cambridge because
of a bus infront of it wouldn't go through the rising bollards. Jamie A also
informs me that this trident, along with a mysterous X reg Trident/President,
are currently being outbased from Ely for up to 2 weeks due to the failure of
several B10M PS vehicles.

September...or lack of

Apologies for the lack of updates this month, been busy with other commitments, work, going out elsewhere....etc

First off, an [late] addition to the previous blog entry on the August 31st, as it was rather rushed, 18059 - AE53TZL made its maiden run on the X9, doing the 1405 to Cambridge, but was swapped at Cambridge on the 1640 return, with coach 52398 - P108FRS forming the return.

Notes made this past week including some reports from Jamie A, Adam D, Gerard, Steve, and of course Mrs B :-) A big thanks to you all.
